If you’re stuck in a slump with your current music, here are ten songs that will help you get out of that slump. These are some of my favorite songs at the moment and hopefully they will introduce you to some amazing new artists! Go ahead and get listening:

“Bad, Bad, Bad” by LANY

LANY is a group that started as my little secret when I was a freshman in high school, but as time went on and they started to release new music, they have become wildly popular. Their fame has come rightly so, with very vibey songs that make you feel like you’re driving down the coast in California. “Bad, Bad, Bad” is by far my favorite song by them because they depict such imagery in the song.

“Wait” by NoMBe

When I was creating this playlist, I had the hardest time coming up with which song to use by NoMBe. All of his songs are so sonically pleasing to listen to and always bring the best vibes if you’re with a group of friends. His debut album “They Might’ve Even Loved Me” has some amazing songs that I find myself listening to all the time.

“Sedona” by Houndmouth

This song has my entire heart. The guitar and the calmness of this song makes me infinitely happy every time I listen to it. This is a road-trip song that makes me want to hop in the car and drive deep into the mountains. The retro vibes in the song make it an almost nostalgic song. If you want some good vibes, you should listen to this song.

“Cinnamon Girl” by Lana Del Rey

If I’m being honest, Lana Del Rey has been one of those artists that I’ve never been obsessed with. Don’t get me wrong, I think she is extremely talented, but I just never connected to one of her songs like I have with “Cinnamon Girl”. Her latest album has some amazing songs, both lyrically and sonically. “Cinnamon Girl” in particular has some amazing vocals and imagery that she uses that makes this song so nice to listen to.

“Choirs” by Ashe

If you haven’t heard Ashe’s music, you need to immediately. I have personally seen her in concert twice and her voice is not any different in real life than it is on a recorded song. She is one of those artists that genuinely care about her fans and creating music that so many can relate to. “Choirs” is a song that I have found myself belting at the top of my lungs many times and hopefully you’ll like it just as much as I do!

“Lights Up” by Harry Styles

Harry Styles’s new single “Lights Up” is a song that the more I listened to it, the more I fell in love with it. It is a very calm song, but when the chorus kicks in, that’s when it starts to get good. I’ve loved Harry Styles ever since his One Direction days and to see him creating this kind of music makes me extremely excited to see what else he releases in the future.

“Changing of the Seasons” by Two Door Cinema Club

I found this song in ninth grade, and ever since it has been one of my favorite songs because I love the different sound of it. Two Door Cinema Club has that very unique sound in general, but this song, in particular, is just something special.

“Waste a Moment” by Kings of Leon

“Waste A Moment” has been one of my most favorite songs lately and for good reason. This song to me screams fall and colder weather. Kings of Leon’s lead singer, Caleb Followill’s voice makes the song extremely unique and indie-sounding. I love their use of the guitar and how they make such emotion through something as small as music.

“Sunday Candy” by Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

This song reminds me of family and my friends. “Sunday Candy” reminds me of happy times and evokes such a good and comforting feeling in anyone who listens to the song. Chance the Rapper and his group Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment released this song together. Needless to say, I’m a big fan of Chance’s solo career music as well, but this song brings such good and happy vibes to me.

“Taylor” by Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson has been one of my most favorite artists ever since I could remember. My parents were always playing it around my house when I was growing up and that created a very big love for his music in me. “Taylor” is my favorite because he paints such a vivid picture of two people and his storytelling is one of my favorite things about him as an artist. I recommend any of his songs, so go find your favorite!

Happy listening!
