Meet the HC Cornell Executive Board!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cornell chapter.

Her Campus (HC) connects collegiettes around the nation with chapters at over 320 colleges. Though Cornell once had a chapter of Her Campus, it closed in 2015. The ladies of the Her Campus board have worked tirelessly to relaunch HC, recruiting new members, getting the website ready for launch, and even surviving countless hours of quarter carding. Her Campus is a key platform for college women to connect, and relaunching it at Cornell will bring the university’s community of women closer together.

Meet the new Her Campus board at Cornell! Find out more about the ladies that have made HC at Cornell possible and why they find it necessary to bring this news source to our university.

Why is it important to start Her Campus at Cornell?

Her Campus is important because it allowed me to create a home for myself on a college campus that felt otherwise very foreign to me. It granted me a voice and the means to make my voice heard, as well as to further develop and expand upon my writing and publicity skills I hope to one day utilize in my career field. It has been both an emotionally and professionally supportive organization for me, so I hope to offer that same opportunity for other girls at Cornell.

Why is it important to start Her Campus at Cornell?

It is important because it allows girls to have a common platform to share information and learn more about campus. Her Campus gives girls the opportunity to show their creative side, especially if they would not typically be able to express themselves in that way within their major.
