1. Making friends
Whether you went to CU Downtown with friends you already knew, you meet so many people on the packed bus to the Commons, at restaurants, stores and even the crowd watching the performances.
2. Trying new foods
Pretty much everyone loves food! There are so many delicious cuisines to try in the Commons. You can try shawarmas at Casablanca, orange chicken at Taste of Thai, or the Aloha Bowl at Pokeland Hawaii Fusion.
3. Awesome places to take photos
Aside from food, there are many cute, artsy places to take photos of yourself and with friends. If you need a new profile picture or haven’t posted on social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr, the Commons has many beautiful murals and street art of or with which to take photos.
4. The vibe
At the CU Downtown event, you feel a sense of community and positive spirit amongst all in the Cornell and Ithaca community.
