Unique Thanksgiving Foods

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Conn Coll chapter.

Thanksgiving dinner is certainly a delicious meal, but it usually consists of the same few items: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and pie. While we will always love these holiday classics, here are some more unusual Thanksgiving foods that could really spice up your meal!

Side Dish:  Yams with marshmallows are a delicious alternative to ordinary mashed potatoes.

Main Dish:  Tofurky is a great option for vegetarians/vegans who still crave the essence of the classic turkey.

Drink:  Mulled wine is a warm beverage that contains wine, spices, such as cinnamon, and sometimes other liquors. It is the perfect holiday drink for a cold day!

Dessert: Apple tartin is a newer take on a classic apple pie and it even has caramel!
