Top Ten Euro Songs to Amp Up Your Pregame

 Whether you’ve been studying abroad or simply prefer a worldly taste of music, here are ten European-style dance songs you should listen to on your next adventure abroad or right here in the good ol’ U.S.A!
 
 

1. “Stereolove”- Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina
 
 This Mediterranean-style pop song topped the charts upon its release and continues to stay strong. Infused with a deep accordion sound, you can practically picture yourself relaxing on the islands of Greece or Italy. If only music could really bring you to the places you dream about.

2.   “Mr. Saxobeat”- Alexandra Stan
 
Romanian singer and songwriter Alexandra Stan really knows how to rock a “saxobeat” with this fun, dance pop song. Who knew saxophones could sound so epic?
 
3.    “You & I”(Svenstrup & Vendelboe Remix) – Medina
 
 Danish pop star Medina sings about her latest heartbreak, remixed by Svenstrup & Vendelboe. Be sure to check out other songs by her, including “For Altid,” “Addiction,” and “Gutter.”
 
4.    “Alors On Danse”- Stromae
 
 French musician Stromae incorporates an electronic sound with his nonchalant attitude. His song brings a whole new meaning to “So now we dance!”J’taime Stromae!
 
5.   “Saturday”- Basshunter
 
Basshunter has been around for ages, but we can’t seem to get enough of him. Everyone will want to get down on “Saturday”night while listening to this song!

6.   “Disco Pogo”- Frauenarzt & Manny Marc
 

  Like German music? Check out Frauenarzt & Manny Marc – this German DJ really knows how to engage a crowd with his deep electronic, disco themed vibes. “Strobopop”and “Die Atzen”are just a few others to get dancing crazy!

7.   “Hello”- Martin Solveig feat. Dragonette
 

 I’d like to say “Bonjour”to Martin Solveig! This French electronic DJ incorporates house, pop, and funk throughout his mixes. “Hello” is Martin’s most successful single to date, so be sure to listen!
 
8.   “We Found Love”- Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris
 
 Calvin Harris, known for his various electronic mixes, creates his latest single combined with Rihanna’s sweet voice.It’s no wonder we found love in this song! Check out his other single “Bounce” feat. Kellis.
 
9.   “Levels”- Avicii
 
 It’s nearly impossible to not get excited when you think of Avicii. This song certainly brings dancing to a whole new level. Don’t forget to turn on the strobes!
 
10.  “Miami To Ibiza”- Swedish House Mafia
 
 Not only does Swedish House Mafia “Save the World Tonight,”  but they take us from “Miami To Ibiza” in this electronic dance hit.

Danielle is a sophomore at Connecticut College and is currently pursuing a double-major in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies. Danielle began writing for the Connecticut College branch of Her Campus in the fall of 2011 and will continue to write this year as Editor and Campus Correspondent. Danielle has traveled all over the world and continues her love for other cultures and languages through her studies. Besides traveling, she loves to sing and dance - especially as a member of Miss Connduct, an all-female A capella group at Connecticut College. In general, Danielle loves sushi, goats, traveling, and Star Wars/Lord of the Rings. Elyse Lebel is a senior at Connecticut College majoring in Psychology and Sociology. Studying abroad her spring semester in Copenhagen, Denmark, she loves to travel and learn about different cultures. As co-founder of the Her Campus branch at her school, Elyse has a strong passion and interest in writing, communications, and fashion.
