Fall sports are well underway! If you have yet to get yourself to a game, here’s a little wrap up of a few teams and future games you and fellow camels can attend!

Women’s Tennis:

The Connecticut College Tournament Opponents against Holy Cross, U. Hartford, SUNY New Paltz and Trinity takes place at Conn this Sunday, Oct. 4, at 10:00 A.M.

According to one of the team’s the star players (and recent Campus Celeb), Gibson Miller, the Women’s Tennis Team has great team traditions like an infamous “Aww CC” cheer which it does before and after every match and after practices. The team has also come up with a great way to get everyone excited for matches by assigning two players to create “psych-ups.” Miller says these are usually personalized motivational quotes. The team’s favorite stop to get dinner on the road is Chipotle (duh). Its last victory was against Holy Cross (D1 might we add) where Conn took the win 4-3.

Field Hockey:

Next game is Tuesday, Sep. 29th, 7:00 PM at Conn against Trinity!

The field hockey girls sing “John Jacob” as loud as possible to get themselves pumped. When they are on the road, they love to stop for coffee, especially Dunkin, for that extra shot of energy. Make sure to congratulate them on their victory against Smith!

Women’s Soccer:

According to Amanda Prous, her favorite game this year was when her team beat the Coast Guard and came home with the Whale Cup. “It was especially nice to have so many fans supporting the team,” Prous says. They’ve got a routine dance party in the locker room before every game, and they too are at every Chipotle when they’re on the road. The team also has a great tradition of taking walks every morning when they’re on the road traveling for away games.

Be sure to go to the team’s next home game which is Saturday, Oct. 10th, at 11:30 AM against Bates!

Those are only a few of our sports in season. Be sure to check out our other teams like cross country, sailing and volleyball!
