As a senior, I have taken my fair share of really fun classes at Conn! There are too many to name here, but a few of my favorites have been Henry James and His Queer Afterlives with Professor Rivkin, Global Graphic Novels with Professor Ostby, and Reading and Writing Poems with Professor Rushin. I would recommend all of them to English majors, and would recommend the latter two to anyone who enjoys and wants to learn more about the subjects they deal with!

I’m an American Studies major, so during my time here, I’ve gotten to take a wide range of classes. Some of my favorites include my Environmental Education class with Prof. Karen Pezzetti(Pez). It’s a super hands-on class and we have been doing super interesting and fun Community Based Learning projects, and I’ve loved getting hands-on teaching experience! If you are interested in an Education or Environmental Studies major or minor, I definitely recommend taking a class with Pez sometime during your time here, she’s one of my favorites!

I have had such a great experience in all of my classes at Conn, so it’s difficult to pick only one favorite! This semester, my favorite class has been Critical Educational Theory with Dr. Shakita Thomas Kpetay. This is a 300 level class in the Educational Studies department, meant to expose students to various educational theorists and ways to put theory into practice. Some of my other favorite classes at Conn include Acting I with David Jaffe, and Teaching for Social Justice with Karen Pezzetti (Pez)!
