Last weekend, my senior class got to celebrate 100 Days from Graduation in our first senior event of the spring. I, unfortunately, was recovering from Covid so missed out on the party, but I definitely have a lot to look forward to before May 21st, and a few things I want to cross out on my Connecticut College Bucket List.

  1. Win a Trivia Night
    1. Since fall semester, some friends and I have attempted to get the first place prize at a variety of trivia nights because it seems like there’s an opportunity to compete in one every week here. The best I’ve done is coming in second place at “Pop Culture Kahoot,” so I have some trivia bragging rights. But here’s hoping we finally know all the niche topics at a Coffee Closet Trivia Night!
  2. Paint a Small Masterpiece on my Living Room Walls
    1. Don’t worry, I’m allowed to do this one. I live in a campus house where every surface is covered in paint, and students are encouraged to add to the wall art. I’ve decked out my own room in colorful designs, but have been waiting to be inspired to add something new to our common room wall that future residents will also appreciate.
  3. Have an Amazing Water Polo Season
    1. I think one of the highlights of my senior year will be finally getting to play with my water polo team this spring and having fun traveling, practicing, and competing together. A huge thing to check off on my bucket list is winning more than three games.
  4. Survive Floralia
    1. Junior year Floralia was definitely fun, but I seriously hope we get some bright sunshine instead of clouds, rain, and hail. I’m really looking forward to our campus music festival tradition and seeing what the school puts together between various food trucks and performers.
  5. See a Major Institutional Change
    1. Finally, I doubt that I will get a diploma from the same person that welcomed us at first-year convocation. I continue to be confident that the growing student movement will create real change at our school, and it is no secret that faculty, staff, alumni, and student groups are pushing for an administrative overturn. I hope I get to see that come to fruition this semester.

If I hold myself accountable and accomplish these goals, I know I have a great senior spring ahead of me. Even though we have fewer than 100 Days left, it seems like there’s a million things lined up for us to do, and time will surely fly.
