Floralia 2017 Line Up Release: Week 4

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Conn Coll chapter.

In anticipation of Floralia’s 40th Anniversary, SAC will be releasing one act from the 2017 line up every Thursday at 5:30PM until April 8th at the official “Floralia Headliner Release Party”! Be sure to follow SAC on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to get all the latest Floralia news and updates.

The fourth artist to be released is RDGLDGRN! This trio (pronounced “red gold green”) is comprised of Marcus Parham, Andrei Busuioceanu, and Pierre Desrosiers. The three identify as Red, Gold, and Green, respectively. Based in the DC area, their unique style can be described as hip-hop infused punk and indie rock.

RDGLDGRN pulls their inspiration from The Beatles, as well as Bob Marley—not in terms of aesthetic, but their desire to create a new sound. This desire has certainly been fulfilled, as they have established their unprecedented flair in the DC music scene.

Their most popular songs include “I Love Lamp”, “Runnin Away”, “Karnival”, and “Doing the Most”. Check out RDGLDGRN on YouTube, Apple Music, and Spotify to get familiar with their sound before they perform at Floralia!
