Valentine’s Day is a great time to tell people how much they matter to you in your life. Even if you don’t have a significant other this Valentine’s Day, it is a great occasion to tell all your friends and family how much they mean to you. There’s nothing sweeter than giving your friends and family handmade valentines, so read on for ideas on how to craft your own!

For these valentines, you will need (all can be found at craft stores):

            – Plain white envelops

            – Stock paper in a Valentine’s Day theme or color

            – Regular paper in Valentine’s Day theme or color

            – Regular scissors

            – Zigzag scissors

            – Valentine’s Day themed stickers

            – Valentine’s Day themed craft tape

            – Glue stick

            – Pencil

            – Black marker

First, cut up a 4X6” piece of Valentine’s Day themed paper. Then, gently fold the paper in half, making sure not to leave a crease in the paper. Lightly sketch half of a heart in pencil, and take regular scissors to cut out it out.

Take your paper heart and glue it on the front side of the white envelope. You can either add the name of the recipient on the heart, leave it blank, or add whatever else you would like.

To make the message card, cut out a piece of stock paper using the zigzag scissors to give it some extra flair. Make sure the stock paper can fit inside the envelope! Write your message using the black marker.

Now, put your message in the envelope and decorate the outside any which way you please! You can add stickers, Valentine’s Day themed tape, or your own illustrations.

Finished! These are super easy and fun to make, and they will definitely leave a smile on your friend’s face.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
