Meet John Bullitt! This week’s Campus Cutie is a senior on the Connecticut College Men’s Basketball Team! Not only is he a star on the basketball court, but he also does live broadcasts of other athletic events at Conn; you may have heard him this fall during one of the Men’s soccer games! Are you nostalgic now that it is your last year on the basketball team?
Definitely. It is pretty crazy that this is my last year playing organized basketball, but luckily I have six other seniors on the team who are all trying to make this last season our best yet.
Looking back as a senior, what has been your favorite moment being with the team?
We go on a team trip every winter break and during my sophomore year we went to Orlando. This might be nerdy, but we spent New Years at Harry Potter World at Universal Studios.
What do you do before a game to get excited?
Personally, I have playlist that I like listening to before games. We huddle together as a team just before tip off which gets everyone fired up for the game.
As your season is under way now, who do you think is your biggest competition this year and why?
Well, Amherst is the defending national champion this year, but to be honest I think we are our own biggest competition this year. We have the talent to beat anyone in the NESCAC, but we have to put it all together to win games.
Besides being on the basketball team, what other things do you do on campus?
I do some live broadcasts for the men’s soccer games with Christian Sbarro.

What has been your most embarrassing moment at Conn?
Jeez there are too many to choose from. Last year, we were celebrating one of our friend’s birthday all day so I was in pretty rough shape when his parents showed up to take us out to dinner. I was wearing spandex and a bra, so needless to say I didn’t make it to dinner.

I feel pretty humbled by it. Thanks for picking me!
