With three coffee shops on the Connecticut College campus, we have plenty of options for getting our daily caffeine fix. Here are some of our favorite drinks to order:

Sea Salt Caramel Latte

The other day, I was in the library and, as always, felt like I needed a pick-me-up. Normally, I try to resist the temptation of Blue Camel and save some money, but that afternoon I couldn’t pass up its close proximity and the promise of caffeine. Since I don’t go to Blue Camel frequently, I do not have a go-to order. While waiting in line I read through the flavor shot list, saw sea salt caramel, and was immediately intrigued. I ended up getting a hot latte with a shot of sea salt caramel. It was delicious, and I could really taste the sea salt flavor which added a nice touch to the caramel and coffee flavor combination. I recommend getting a Sea Salt Caramel Latte from Blue Camel if you’re in the library and in need of a sweet drink to wake you up.

Cinnamon Roll Latte

Coffee Closet recently released a spectacular new fall menu with crowd-pleasers, such as the Cinnamon Roll Latte. This latte, hot, with oat milk, is my recent favorite. With a sugary, cinnamon flavor, this latte is perfect for the cold weather! It truly feels like you are eating a delicious cinnamon roll, which I love. You can get this iced or hot, with any type of milk, making this drink truly customizable! Go check out the new fall menu in Coffee Closet and give the Cinnamon Roll Latte a try.

Shaken Espresso

I am a huge coffee person and have been to every shop on campus. I have found some of my personal favorites at Coffee Grounds, including the Iced Shaken Espresso with your choice of dairy and flavor. You literally can’t go wrong! I also recommend trying their Iced Matcha Latte.

Glenn Cocoa Latte

I like to imagine the best coffee on campus like the Dance Moms pyramid. It is subject to change and extremely objective. At the top of the pyramid for me right now is the Glenn Cocoa specialty latte from Coffee Closet. I only recently discovered the Glenn Cocoa latte after my roommate recommended it to me. This drink is single-handedly helping me get into the holiday spirit.

Midnight Milky Way Latte

Every time I go to Coffee Closet, the Midnight Milky Way Latte never fails me. Regardless that it’s pretty much the only drink I order, it continues to be one of the best coffees I’ve had on campus. Although it takes a precise hand to perfectly blend the chocolate and caramel, the baristas at Coffee Closet have mastered this skill. Even into the cold winter months, I will continue to order an iced Midnight Milky Way Latter with oat milk. I can’t resist.

Iced Latte with Oat Milk

I am a huge coffee drinker, and I love a good latte. I know that this is the most basic and simple order, but you can’t go wrong with it. I’ve been getting it without syrup recently, and I’ve been really enjoying it. It really brings out the taste of coffee. I usually get it with oat milk because it’s creamier. I would also like to say thank you to Coffee Closet and Coffee Grounds for NOT charging extra for dairy-free milk.
