Having the perfect Sunday routine can make or break your week. It’s a great time to plan your goals, make a to-do list, and set the mood for the following days. Plus, it’s a moment you can focus on self-care and organize the things you need to succeed during the following week. Do you want it to be hectic, rushed, and stressful, or do you want it to be orderly, prepared, and rewarding?

Here are a few ideas you can implement into your Sunday to set the mood for the week.

1. Write down a to-do list

Chances are you’ve already written down your assignments ahead of time — if you haven’t, you should. However, writing them in a to-do list will refresh your memory help you plan for anything you need to turn in or read for the upcoming week. This could also include errands you need to do, scheduling a doctor’s appointment or buying new shampoo.

2. Meal-prep

Whether you make your meals ahead of time or dine out, think about your eating schedule for the week. Do you need to do groceries to prepare your dinners? Are you going to grab a quick take-out lunch one day? Will you need to bring containers to get People’s Potato on the seventh floor of the Hall building? Make sure you know what you’re going to eat during the week to save yourself some time, instead of trying to think of ideas on the spot.

3. Make goals

Making and accomplishing a goal for the week will not only feel rewarding, but it’s a chance to implement some self-improvement methods. Your goals could range from attending one yoga class to going to all of your lectures. It might help to set a healthy reward system for yourself when you do accomplish certain goals.

4. Self-care

Sunday might feel dreadful — because it is immediately followed by Monday. It doesn’t have to be, though. Set aside some time in the day to take a bath, light your favourite candle, or watch a silly movie. Giving yourself a few moments to breathe will help you set your  mind for the week ahead.
