Have a date night coming up? Looking for something to do now that midterms are over? Well here are some ideas to get you in the mood for Halloween and the autumn season!
1. Go to La Ronde. In the spirit of Halloween, La Ronde is decorated and employees dress up. Their haunted house is definitely worth checking out! Why not bring your significant other and go experience a whole new amusement park?
2. If rollercoasters aren’t your thing there are Haunted Montreal tours where a professional actor brings you around the city looking for ghosts. The tour was rated four stars according to Trip Advisor.

3. With Halloween right around the corner, it isn’t too late to find a costume! Spend an afternoon searching for the perfect one in thrift shops like Eva B on Saint-Laurent.
4. If the spooky stuff isn’t your thing, then there’s always apple picking! Save an afternoon to go climbing trees and picking apples.
5. The best part of apple picking is the baking that comes after! Apple pie, apple crumble, apple strudel, apple crisp, apple everything.
6. Or there’s always pumpkin picking! Go explore the pumpkin patches and choose your favorite pumpkin. You can even make a competition out of it—who finds the nicest, biggest pumpkin.
7. Did you lose the “who found the best pumpkin” competition? Well why don’t you kick his or her butt at pumpkin decorating! Or making the best pumpkin pie!
8. Feeling adventurous? Choose a path and go for a walk every few weeks so you can see the leaves change.
9. Play a game, like hide and seek in a park at night!
10. Walk through a graveyard at night.
11. Go on a road trip and enjoy the changing foliage.
12. Looking for something fun to do while at home? Why not rake leaves into piles and then play?
13. Spend a night watching dorky Halloween movies like Disney’s Hocus Pocus. Or watch the actual scary movies like the new Ouija movie that’s coming out at the end of this week!
14. Have a cheesy photoshoot and capture the colourful leaves.
15. Buy the old book series Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
16. Make fall inspired cookies!
17. Feeling up for a road trip? Go explore some of Quebec’s very own ghost towns like Saint-Nil, Rivière La Guerre, Goose Village or Crystal Falls.
