So I had absolutely nothing to do last weekend, and a friend invited me to a fashion show he was going to be walking in as a model. Because I had never really been to any fashion or runway shows in Chicago, I decided to support him and check it out! The Fuze It Worldwide Fashion Show 2011 was held at Excalibur Night Club, 632 N. Dearborn St., on April 9, at 6 p.m., and was filled with fierce clothing and fashion from local designers, models who were strutting their stuff on the catwalk and passionate in-your-face photographers in every inch of the building aching to get that perfect shot!
There were all kinds of coutour outfits fitted for men and women, and it was easy to tell the crowd was loving every bit of it! I honestly felt like I was covering an event as if I were on an episode of “The Hills,” something along the lines of what Lauren Conrad or Whitney Port would be doing coordinating it. It was a wonderful experience, and I can definitely say these Chicago fashion shows and the Chicago fashion scene are going to be my new thing! It’s even inspired me to want to become a fashion journalist! Who knows, maybe it’s something I’ll take up!
