“The Bold Type” Actress Katie Stevens Ties the Knot

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Columbia Chicago chapter.

As someone who works in the bridal industry, I am a sucker for weddings and watching people celebrate love. Now when an actress whom I love from a show that us at HC Columbia Chicago love, we kind of go a little crazy to celebrate – and this is no exception.

Katie Stevens, aka Jane from The Bold Type, tied the know this weekend to her longtime love, musician and producer Paul DiGiovanni, in Tennessee. According to People Magazine, the two got married just outside of Nashville in front of 250 guests. Among those guests included Stevens’s co-stars, DiGiovanni’s Boys like Girls bandmates (Martin Johnson and John Keefe – who also served as his groomsmen), Chloe Bennet, Olivia Holt and Molly McCook.

The two have been together for almost six years. They got engaged in January of 2018.

Stevens walked down the aisle to the melodic voices of singer Betty Who, who’s guest starred on an episode of The Bold Type and her co-star Meghann Fahy (their voices together would probably make us all shed a tear). She walked in a long-sleeve gown designed by Flora white DiGiovanni rocked a blue suit with a black bow tie. Paul also planned and gave a special performance with his bandmates for the bride.

The two who are very passionate about music (for Paul it being his lifelong job and Katie originally starting out her career auditioning and being on American Idol) swayed their way through their first dance to the sounds of Ben Rector’s “I Will Always be Yours”. The couple then continued the festivities after their ceremony and reception with their family and friends at an after party.

Stevens said about her now husband, “From the second that I met him up until now, he’s made me feel special and more than enough every single day.”

Congrats to the happy couple on their special day! Here’s to all the honeymoon photos we hope to see and this reminding us to keep having The Bold Type on the front of our radars.
