The Oscars are a one of a kind award show in which the creative minds of film gather together to honor those who have contributed to the world of movies …and it is just a few weeks away! How can you not be getting excited?! Neil Patrick Harris is the host, amazing actors are nominated (Reese Witherspoon, Benedict Cumberbatch, to name a few) and the fashions are sure to be spectacular!
The red carpet at the Academy Awards is going to be full of innovative designs and classic looks of sheer elegance. It is going to be full of breathtaking gowns composed of memorable details, such as crystal, lace, and much, much more! It is going to be full of creativity!
And I’m here to predict, for your enjoyment, which actors will be the best dressed this year.
Keira Knightley
Nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the remarkable film, The Imitation Game, I think Keira Knightley is going to look absolutely amazing at this year’s ceremony. When does she ever not look stunning? Although some might not of been fans of her Golden Globes Chanel gown (a gown which I felt exhibited much craftsmanship in design), no one can deny how gorgeous she looked at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this year! She donned a beautifully hued, flowing, purple Erdem gown. The sheer detailing and the floral evocations of this dress were marvelous and the design fit her pregnant form effortlessly. Oh yeah, did I mention she is pregnant?! Keira Knightley is sure not to disappoint at the Academy Awards this season!
Emma Stone
Who doesn’t love Emma Stone? Nominated for her supporting role in the Birdman this year, Emma Stone has been rocking it on the red carpet this award show season. No matter the ceremony, she has worn unique designs that encompass lots of daring and inventive qualities. At this year’s Golden Globes, Stone donned a striking Lanvin jumpsuit, rather than a gown. The jumpsuit looked stunning on her, with its dazzling crystallizations forming magical diamond shapes and its magnificent, shining large bow! And she only continued to manifest her stylish awesomeness at the SAG awards. In a tuxedo-esque, sheer Dior couture gown, Emma Stone defied convention and wore something truly innovative in design. It’s not a surprise that I think she will be one of the best dressed at the Oscars!
Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore, who is nominated (and who I believe will win the Oscar) for Best Actress for her role in the heartbreaking film Still Alice, has been glittering on the red carpet this award season in fantastic, shimmering fashions. At the Golden Globes, Julianne Moore wore an incredible Givenchy couture gown that sparkled with its silvery hued sequins that made her stand out proudly and boldly for all to see. The gray toned feathered accents of the design, which culminated into a black hue, only made this gown more breathtaking and memorable. Donning another Givenchy gown at this year’s SAG awards, Moore continued to evoke perfection. The exquisite emerald gown was full of fantastic encrustations that revealed the sheer power of the artistry of design. Wonderfully complementing her beautiful red hair, the look was impeccable. I cannot wait to see what she wears at this year’s award show when she wins the Oscar for Best Actress!
