Pumpkin Spice & Your Favorite Sweater: WELCOME TO FALL!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Columbia Barnard chapter.

With fall around the corner, it’s time to say goodbye to the strappy sandals and iced coffees, and welcome the cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes. As the leaves change color and school picks up, there’s nothing better than snuggling up in a chunky knit with good caffeine to fuel your day and night.

While prepping my wardrobe for the autumn, I have been impressed with and in fact dependent on Urban Outfitters’ sweater supply. In addition to the basic, oversized turtleneck or pullover, they incorporated new styles that allow room for accessorizing. A personal favorite of mine is the Silence + Noise Balloon-Sleeve Surplice Sweater. With a cross-front V-neckline and neutral color, this sweater invites you to accessorize with a lacy bralette and/or minimalistic jewelry. while still staying comfy and chic. (If you’re interested, it’s currently on sale, so go grab this deal while you still can!)

While it is essential to be fashionably equipped for autumn, it’s also just as enjoyable to treat yourself to some fall-inspired coffee, which is why knowing where to get the best pumpkin spice lattes is imperative. Be adventurous and step out of the Starbucks on 114th and try out The Chipped Cup, a hipster little niche in Hamilton Heights, Harlem for a fulfilling cup of pumpkin spice latte. Another famous coffee spot serving this fall must-have is Grounded in West Village; it’s definitely worth going downtown for this spot!

Enjoy falling in love with fall and all it has to offer!
