If you asked me a couple days ago to describe the state of my dorm room, I would probably cringe before I said anything. From the dust bunnies getting comfy in the corners to the desk area cluttered with pens, papers, and makeup (#multitasking my space, amiright?), it was clear I’d been neglecting to clean up for a few weeks to long. And, to be completely honest, I can’t really blame myself. College is a busy time– it’s no wonder that laundry piles up, corners get dusty, and the trash can gets overfull before anybody thinks about emptying it! With that said, however, I’m a total believer in the idea that a clean space = a clean mind. Not ready to buy that math? Try starting with your desk area. Clear everything off, get rid of old papers, wipe down the surface, organize the drawers, and let me know how you feel afterwards. Chances are, the fresh space will have you feeling super-inspired to get down to that term paper, or else start cleaning up other parts of your humble abode. No matter what you choose to do, you’ll thank yourself later for the organizing you do now.

Okay, a new week is approaching folks. On your mark, get set, get cleaning!
