If you’ve been living under a rock (or — I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt — are new to the Her Campus family), you may not know Rachel Beinus: rising senior, history major, proud owner of Shoshana the stuffed unicorn, and Her Campus Editor-in-Chief and Campus Correspondent. Rachel has been an incredible asset to our team throughout her time at Barnard, and especially this year. Her leadership has ushered in a new era for Her Campus Columbia/Barnard, one marked by friendship, love, and great writing. Therefore, we could not let her birthday pass by without our well wishes.

Dear Rachel,

Happy birthday to one of my first friends on campus! You’ve been there for me from day one and our friendship has grown tremendously. I can’t believe you’re celebrating your 21st in quarantine, but don’t you worry — we’ll make up for it once we’re back on campus. I hope you’re able to have a good day even during this crazy time; you already know I expect a TikTok or Finsta post to document. Thank you for an amazing year of Her Campus full of bonding and adventures. Catch me making the watery-eye emoji looking at photos from Jake’s Bar Mitzvah. We love and miss you so much!

Love,

Arianna (with TWO n’s, because we all know two is better than one…)

Dear Rachel,

Happy 21st! Of course, spending your 21st birthday in quarantine is far from ideal, but look at the bright side; a solid 10:00pm bedtime is basically guaranteed at this point. It has been an honor serving as your second in command this semester as Senior Editor. Her Campus has been one of my (let’s be real, it’s #1) most treasured involvements at Barnard. I have watched myself grow as a writer, correct more dashes than I can count (for everyone reading, it’s — not –), and make incredible friends. You are a great Editor-in-Chief and an even better friend. Here’s to 21 years and many, many more!

HCXO with love,

Collier

Dear Rachel,

Happy 21st birthday! OMG! First off, thank you for leading Her Campus. This organization has been the best part of my freshman year, and it is because of you! I want you to know that you were one of my first Barnard role models. I appreciate how you always harbor such a positive, supportive, and enthusiastic environment in HC and beyond. From opening up your suite to us for seasonal parties to checking in on me by text to advising me on recruitment, I am so grateful! Not to mention you always crack me up with your Finsta and TikTok posts. Despite the circumstances of your birthday, I hope you have a great day and can get at least a little ~wild~.

Love,

Claire

Dear Rachel,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WOOT WOOT! Has it been almost three years since we first met already? Time has flown by way too quickly. It was just yesterday when we were having mid-Friday meetings, getting flamed about all the people who insist on going to class sick, she who shall not be named, and the world in general. I am so thankful that I randomly applied for the HC social position freshman year, otherwise who knows if we would have met! I’m so lucky to call you a friend, and I truly wish that you have the most wonderful birthday. And even though we are stuck in quarantine for now, just know that once we are back on campus, we are going to party all night long…or until an acceptable bedtime!

All my love,

Ariana (with one n because everyone and their grandma knows it’s the correct spelling)

Dear Rachel,

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  I know that it’s disappointing  that you’re turning 21 in quarantine, but I promise you that we’ll make it up when we get back to campus.Thank you for being the greatest EIC we would ever ask for. Her Campus has been the best part of my college experience and it is solely because of the community you have built. I can’t believe the last two years have passed so quickly! It felt like just yesterday I came to my first meeting and joined the best family on Barnard’s campus. I am so honored to be your friend and can’t wait for many more years of friendship.

HCXO,

Lizzie

Dear Rachel,

Happy, happy 21st birthday! I’m not exaggerating when I say you are one of the people who has shaped my college experience for the better; working with you to grow this club we’ve believed in since freshman year has been the most fun and rewarding experience. Thank you for being the best President and EIC; there’s nobody else I’d rather complain about trying to meet the weekly content minimum with. You are so funny (here’s to many more #flamedfridays), and so dedicated to making both campus and our little HC family a better place. I hope you have the best socially distanced birthday ever!

HCXO,

Erica
