Today’s Inspiration: Fresh Faced, Natural Makeup and Hair

There’s nothing worse than spending an entire day at Butler and coming home looking like a raccoon. Or worrying about your hairstyle during a final. Finals Week is a time to put on your Barnard swearshirt, and put away your smokey eye pallete, red lipstick, and fancy jeweled headband. Some tips for the natural makeup look: A CC cream will do it all, cover up any imperfections and give you a flawless “i don’t have any makeup on, i just look like this at 9 AM” look while also providing sunscreen protection for when you run to starbucks (3 times in one day) to get your coffee fix. A light gold or taupe eyeshadow with a brown liner will give your eyes a little more definition without it looking like you’re going to Mels or causing any serious damage when you’re crying because of how good the new Beyonce album is. Choose a waterproof and non clumpy mascara (obviously), and always carry a nude lip balm or chapstick (the little Eos ones are simply the cutest!), to combat the winter evil that is chapped lips. If you don’t just want to throw your hair up in a high bun but still want it out of your face, try a sideswept fishtail braid. A little bit of an upgrade from a regular braid, but still as easy to do, and may even catch the attention of that cutie in 209. Clean, fresh faced, and natural are the go-to’s for this week!
