Around this time of year, we see endless articles and blog posts on what to wear for the perfect Valentine’s Day date. How to impress your man, look seductive but sophisticated, etc. But what about all my single ladies out there? Being single on Valentine’s Day does not mean that we have to shed all fashion sense and stay in bed. What better way to spend the holiday than treating yourself and spending time with your girlfriends! More importantly, you don’t have to worry about dressing to impress a man, but can focus on dressing for the one person who truly matters: yourself.

A Day of Treating Yourself

Today, throw on something comfy but chic that doesn’t require too much effort but makes you feel truly beautiful. Have you been hiding away that fur vest or lavender peacoat because you weren’t quite sure you could pull it off? Try them out for fun! Spend the day shopping, getting coffee in your favorite café, and getting mani/pedis with your BFFs, and look great doing it! You’re outfit should be effortless and make you radiate confidence, because you’re single and loving it.

Dinner with the Girls

While couples are all over the city are having cheesy romantic dinners, show the world what a good time really means, and have dinner with your best girlfriends. The best part about being single? You don’t have to dress for a man. You don’t have to accent his favorite features or his favorite color. Wear a dress and tights in your favorite pattern or color, to show off what is important to you

A Night of Dancing

Hit up your favorite club with your girlfriends and dance the night away! You don’t have to spend the night glued to a man’s side, so you’re free to wear what you want, dance how you want, and have the best night ever. Save your LBD for another night, because it’s time for you to be the center of attention; wear a dress that will pop and make a statement that you are fun and confident!
