1. How did you get into entrepreneurship? When is the moment you realized you love it?
I got into entrepreneurship when I was 8 years old when IÂ devised a plan to help cure starvation in Africa after learning about it on the discovery channel. I have always been an independent thinker and have always loved working on my own projects
2.Tell us about TappMob, what is it? What has that experience brought you?
TappMob is a mobile application company that I started in the summer of 2011. It started with an idea for a single touch location sharing application, and the company grew out of this. I ended up recruiting a team of around 25 people at its largest, and built 6 applications. The experience has taught me a lot of things.  How to take advantage of opportunities that arise, how to work with and manage a team, how to design the product architecture for an app and how to pitch in front of a large crowd, among other things. Â
3. What do you hope to do as a future career?
I don’t know yet what the future will bring. I know that I want to stay in tech- whether I work at a startup or a larger company after college is still up in the air, but I know that TappMob was not my last company. Â

4. What do you see as the role of women in start-ups and entrepeneurship?Â
Â
There is a growing opportunity for women in entrepreneurship, especially in New York City which has the highest percentage of female founders. It has been proven that companies are more successful and productive with women on the board. I would love to see more successful female founders, and have gotten involved with initiatives to support this.
