New Hit “Grey Flamingo” from Vaughn PM

Last week, my friend started playing a new song on Soundcloud after the link went viral over our local Colgate Facebook network. Five of us, studying abroad in London on the Colgate program sat in a Ikea furnished flat enjoying generic brand grocery store wine, accurately labeled “red wine.” Five hours ahead of everyone back in New York, I hushed my rosy cheeked friends while frantically stabbing the F12 volume button on my keyboard to hear the new beautifully constructed track known as “Grey Flamingo” by local Colgate talent and Brooklyn native Vaughn PM. The song features slow R&B vocals by Karl Jackson’14. After the bottles ran empty we continued to play “Grey Flamingo” for the rest of the week. The song is the second track on Vaughn PM’s upcoming album WA2YML. To enjoy this blissful track click here, sit back and relax. I’d characterize the mood a “chill” great for an intimate party, hanging home alone or with your favorite friend. The lyrics on Vaughn’s rap verse are almost too relatable, for college students around the world.  I know for the many who partake in late nights filled with libations at Colgate, there must have been some point or another where we have all questioned the antics we ascribe to. For a brief moment you might have asked yourself if you deserve the title of “alcoholic” atleast once in your college career. The song samples the chillwave track “About You” by XXYYXX adding an allure of chopped and screwed soft rap with soulfilled vocals. Check out VaughPM.com for more details. The album WA2YML is set to drop April 2015. Stay tuned for more from Vaughn PM and Karl Jackson.
