Ladies & Gentlemen—We Have Found the Ideal Man

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Colgate chapter.

Ladies—Valentine’s day is around the corner. Love is in the air and secret admirers are slowly surfacing. Instead of interviewing a specific Colgate gentleman—we thought why not interview what some might call “the ideal man?” He’s fleeting. He’s fickle. Oftentimes—he’s entirely fictional. This particular man exists only in the Notebook-raving, Ryan Gosling-swooning heads of the current collegiette.

So, join us as we “grow” our very own boyfriend. And fellas? Take some notes.

His name: Mr. Right

Age: 21

Year: Senior (add a prospective job on the horizon and we won’t mind)

Major: Relationship Studies

Hometown: Paris (the city of love—duh)

Relationship status: Single—and ready to mingle

Hobbies: Singing (with a specialty in serenading), playing the guitar, sports & cooking (meals of our carboloading dreams)

Favorite movie: The Notebook or Stepbrothers—but honestly get you a man who can do both

Guilty pleasure: Snuggling

Sand or Snow: Both

Describe your dream date, he’d say: A long walk on the beach—an occasional piggy back ride for the pix—then a homecooked meal under the sunset

Favorite restaurant in town: The Inn

Describe yourself in three words, he’d say: Humorous, sensitive and determined

His best quality: His personality is as handsome as he is

Who is his best friend: Mama dearest

Boxers or briefs: Boxers

What qualities does he find most attractive in a woman: Her personality and her smile—she makes him laugh when they mock The Bachelorette together

Favorite place to study: Library fourth floor cubicles—concentration is key when thinking about his future

Biggest insecurity: His abnormally large feet & his uniquely contagious laugh

Fun fact: He can speak three languages—all of which are of the romance genre

We thank you Mr. Right—just for being you! You’ll always have a special place in our lovesick minds.
