There are lots of things that come to mind when people think of Halloween: scary movies, dressing up in fun costumes, carving pumpkins, and more. While I loved dressing up in a cute costume and running from house to house with my pumpkin bucket, the best part of Halloween for me growing up was excitedly dumping out my candy. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of sorting your candy after a long night of trick-or-treating! A successful night for me consisted of getting the best candy possible. This is my comprehensive list of different Halloween candies ranked.

Kit Kats 10/10

I definitely consider myself to be a chocolate person and Kit Kats were always my favorite candy to get. While they may be considered basic you can never go wrong with a delicious chocolate-covered wafer. It’s especially a plus if it’s a full-sized Kit Kat.

Twix 8/10

Going along with the same theme of chocolate, Twix is another favorite. You can’t go wrong with the chocolate caramel combination.

Skittles 7/10

A classic Halloween candy. While I normally lean towards chocolate this is still a favorite. I love all the different flavors and how there are a variety of different kinds. It’s nice to have fruit candy to balance out the chocolate.

Reeses 5/10

This might be a controversial take as Reeses are usually a fan favorite. However, I can’t say it’s mine. I personally don’t love the chocolate-peanut butter combination and think the chocolate to peanut butter ratio is off. That being said I don’t hate them but would generally rather have something else.

Candy Corn 2/10

People either love or hate this candy. While it is a classic, I can’t say it’s at the top of my list and I feel like a lot of people are in agreement. It’s neither chocolatey nor fruity and I don’t think I can get on board with this candy.

As Halloween rolls around next October keep this list in mind as you’re deciding what to eat!
