Name: Brandon Plass
Hometown: Queens, New York
Major: Economics & Spanish
What do you do on campus?  “I run it”
What’s your favorite thing at Colgate?  “The huge studio in the first floor of the library.  Nobody knows about it, and it’s a great place to just be creative.”
Tell us about your music: “The EPidemic is my first mixtape.  Me and Dave Lee, AKA Swipe Younghans, put the music together in a month.  We wanted to bring a new style of rap to the Colgate scene.  The kind of music we do screams New York and you can see the jazz influence in it.  It’s just different from the, for lack of a better adjective, Southern rap that has become so big here.”
Tell us about your music influences: “I listen to all kinds of music.  But the rapper who influences me most to make marketable but still is-true-to-myself-rap is Tyler the Creator.   And Matisyahu, and Lindsey Skerker.”
What are your other hobbies?  “Playing basketball and studying econ.”
Three fun facts about yourself: 1.) I don’t use deodorant, I just naturally smell good 2.) Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my favorite cereal 3.) NY Knicks all day
