Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And if you’re anything like me, you love breakfast. Bowls are an easy and efficient way to make sure you can get your breakfast in and still get to class on time (even if that’s still in your pjs on zoom!) I have complied my best list of breakfast bowl ideas that will make your morning off to a great start.

1. Smoothie Bowls

From strawberry banana to acai to green smoothies, a smoothie bowl is an excellent way to start your morning with fruits and veggies. My go to smoothie is a green smoothie with frozen cauliflower, frozen banana, kale, spinach, cinnamon, protein powder, and oat milk. Although it may sound weird, the trick to a thick smoothie bowl is frozen cauliflower. I promise you cannot taste it at all, and it doesn’t water down your smoothie like ice! Check out some of these recipes or make your own – get creative!

2. Yogurt Bowl

Next on the list is yogurt. Any type of yogurt works (my favorite is Greek yogurt!) and then you can add all the toppings. Granola and banana are my favorite toppings. This bowl is so good sometimes I feel like I am eating dessert for my breakfast. Here are some combinations that look delicious and remember you can never have enough toppings!

3. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a breakfast staple. It is healthy, easy, and has so many variations you can never get sick of it. I am a huge fan of making my oatmeal bowls with chocolate chips, peanut butter, and banana, but you can never go wrong with any kind of toppings. From fruit, nut butters, nuts, chocolate and more, there is never a wrong kind of oatmeal bowl. Also, the best part of oatmeal is you can make it hot or cold with overnight oats! This website has compiled a list of the 50 best oatmeal recipes proving my point that there are endless amounts of oatmeal options.

4. Savory Breakfast Bowls

And lastly, savory bowls are always an essential when it comes to breakfast. Anything from a veggie scramble to eggs and potatoes could be turned into an amazing breakfast bowl. This is also a great way to get some veggies in if you choose to add kale or spinach as a base! Here are some great ideas for switching up your breakfast bowls if you are more savory than sweet!
