If you didn’t know, we recently had women from the Lululemon showroom in Portland come to campus for an event. It was so much fun to have a pop-up shop at Colby since there is not many great places to shop in the area. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did; the clothes were adorable, the snacks were yummy, and the Campus Cutie nominations were aplenty. But did you get to find out about the Lululemon Showroom in Portland? Open Thursday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 10-5pm following a 9am complimentary yoga class, tt’s actually a really cool pace and one of the many fun things to do in the area. Read on for our guide to a day in Portland during the weekend as the spring weather appraoches. Click on a address to see where somethingis located on a map of Portland and make sure to check out the restaurant menus and the activities’ websites at the bottom of the article before you make your final choices.

7am – Wake up and get ready to go. May we suggest a quick stop at Jorgenson’s on your way out of Waterville for a coffee and breakfast?

8:30/8:45am – Arrive in Portland

9am – Take a complimentary yoga class at the Lululemon Showroom (22 Milk Street) to get your Zen on.

10am – Check out the newest styles from Lululemon and ask for Erin or Courtney if you need any help.

10:30am – Take a walk along the port. Looking for more adventure? Take a Lobster Tour (Lucky Catch Cruises) and channel your inner fisherman. Tours are about 80-90 minutes.

1pm – You’re probably hungry by now, grab a bite to eat at one of Portland’s awesome restaurants. Personally we love Miyake (468 Fore Street) for sushi or Flatbread (72 Commercial Street) if you’re in the mood for pizza.

2pm – Take a stroll through the Portland Museum of Art (7 Congress Square) or the Victoria Mansion (106 Danforth Street).

4pm – Don’t forget to check out some of Portland’s cute boutiques. If you’re into designers like Frye, j brand, or Susan Monaco, Bliss (58 Exchange Street) is the place for you and if you’re looking to stand out, head to Club 21 (21 Exchange Street). Portland also has some great consignment and antique stores such as Encore (521 Congress Street).

5:30pm – By now you may be ready to go, but if you’re craving another great meal check out Bar Lola (100 Congress Street) for an eclectic American menu. The menu is divided into four different courses; we suggest you order a few of the smaller portions and share with friends. If you’re looking for an intimate dinner, try Cinque Terre (36 Wharf Street), which is tucked away on a side street, the Italian food combined with the romantic atmosphere will make you swoon.
