Gym Chronicles: My Favorite Online Blogs and Resources

The best way to improve your fitness is to learn more. So, I’m going to share with you my favorite online resources for expanding your fitness knowledge.
 

  1. Exercise TV: This is a great site because you have access to a ton of different workout videos for free on your computer. I used Exercise TV when I was abroad and it was a fun way to keep fit that was different from running outside. Another great thing about Exercise TV is that there is a workout for any time limit. This site has everything from a 3 minute abdominal routine, to a 55 minute yoga class, to a 20 minute interval workout. http://www.exercisetv.tv/
  2. SELF Magazine: I love self.com because it has fun exercise tips, easy and healthy recipes, and great mental health articles. This is a great place to find new exercises targeting your butt, back, stomach, shoulders, thighs, or whatever. Once you learn these, you can incorporate them into your daily or weekly workouts to switch it up and make it exciting again! http://www.self.com
  3. Lululemon: Being comfortable during your workout is very important. You wont be able to last as long in the gym if you’re worried about sweat marks or your underwear riding up. I can’t get enough of Lululemon clothing for working out. Check out their online store since the closest one is in Portland and may I suggest the “Wunder Under” Crops. http://www.lululemon.com
  4. BodyRock: This is a fun blog that has different interesting workouts with videos. Most of the exercises are not the ordinary moves that you find in magazines, so it gives you some fun new ideas. Make sure to check out the workout song of the day! http://www.bodyrock.tv/
  5. Mark’s Daily Apple: This blog has workout routines, reader’s questions, food recipes, and success stories,
    among other content. This is a compelling blog by a guy who encourages a healthy lifestyle. His ideas are interesting and easy to follow, which makes it easier for you to stay healthy! http://www.marksdailyapple.com
