It’s the last weekend before finals and the weather is looking nice so to feel your best here are a few tips for de-bloating:

Food: Looking for foods that don’t cause stomach bloating? Try foods with probiotics says Kathleen M Zelman for WebMD. These are foods such as yogurt and pineapple, or things like ginger or parsley. Avoid foods with a lot of sodium because this can cause water retention. Bananas, steamed vegetables, and plain chicken or fish will also do the trick!

Drinks: Substituting is in order if you usually drink carbonated sodas and coffee. Switch these drinks for water or tea. Caffeine adds to bloating so try a non-caffeinated tea like peppermint! Need your caffeine? Drink green tea with pomegranate available at the Spa!

Exercise: If you’re up to it, head to the gym for a quick run and some ab exercises. Too busy to make your way to the gym? Crunches in your room before you go out will tighten your abs!

Water: Water is key to de-bloating because it will flush the toxins out of your body. Make sure to drink water all day!!

Other: Small meals more often will be better than a few big meals. Remember to eat slowly and don’t chew gum, this could lead to swallowing extra air which not only can make you feel bloated, but will also give you a case of the hiccups!

The biggest thing to bear in mind is that doing everything in moderation is the key. Stick to your normal eating habits; don’t keep eating if you’re no longer hungry. If you’re conscious you can eliminate bloating for that night out!
