I started dyeing my hair when I was thirteen to show support for breast cancer awareness. I decided that I was going to dye my hair pink. To save money, instead of having it done professionally, my mom and I drove to CVS and purchased the only pink hair dye that they sold, SPLAT. For anyone that isn’t familiar with SPLAT, it is basically boxed bleach and dye for your hair, that if not done correctly can severely damage your hair. Even if it is done properly, the brand uses such harsh chemicals that it causes severe damage to the hair.
