As someone who has seen Charlie XCX live in concert not once but twice, I can attest to the fact that she is an amazing performer, singer, dancer, and woman. I saw her on tour with Halsey and on tour with Taylor Swift. Despite her being an opening act, she stole the stage like it was her own tour. There is truly no performer out there like her. Her party-like performing keeps the audience entertained and fully immersed in her world. She has a total of five studio albums and 46 singles currently out. Some popular singles and features you may recognize her from are “Boom Clap”, “I Love It”, “Fancy”, “Boys”, and “Break the Rules”. She has had her songs featured in popular movies like “The Fault in Our Stars” and she has worked with amazing women like Lizzo, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Bebe Rexha, and Rita Ora.

Her latest album, Crash, was released on March 18th, and has proven that she has found her style and voice. It fully breaks her into the mainstream pop era with all the party/EDM/dance/girly vibes intact. It is also currently her highest charting album, as it debuted in the top 15 on U.S. album charts. She took to twitter to celebrate the success saying, “AGHHHHH IS THIS REAL WTFFF???!” This isn’t the only time Charlie has expressed her thanks and gratitude to her fans, who she calls “angels”. She is constantly communicating with her angels on Twitter and Instagram, thanking them for getting her to where she is today. After Crash was released, she took to Instagram writing in all caps: “Thank you for believing in me, thank you to those who have been here from the start, thank you to those who have just found me. Thank you to the incredible team who supported me whilst making the album…”  In addition to the success of her album, she is going on tour internationally starting this March until June. She will hit many cities in the U.S. and Europe. The opening acts she has announced for this tour include: A.G. Cook, Baby Tate, Magdalena Bay, Yeule, and Elio. Better buy your tickets now!

Even though Charlie XCX has proven herself as an artist, she is still not given the credit she deserves. Despite being nominated for Grammys with Iggy Azalea before, she has never won. On the bright side, her hard work and dedication have not gone completely unnoticed. This is due to the fact that she has won over 20 awards. This includes the following: Billboard Women in Music, Teen Choice Awards, YouTube Music Awards, Variety’s Hitmaker Awards, GQ Awards, and more! As time goes on, her list of awards and nominations will only get higher. From her new music to her upcoming tour, her career seems to be going in an amazing direction.
