Jane Eyre Told Through Group Chat

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CNU chapter.

Calling all literary nerds, English Majors, and anyone who has ever had to–as my fiance says: suffer through Jane Eyre. While I absolutely fell in love with Bronte’s storytelling and feisty character Jane Eyre, others have found the text quite a chore to digest. Luckily, Her Campus has just the thing for you! Spark Notes move over, this group chat is here to tell you everything you need to know about the book (just kidding, you should probably read the Spark Notes at least). (Warning, spoilers within)!

1. There’s something in the attic at Thornfield…

2. Rochester is gone 75% of the time and he doesn’t do well with his ward either…

3. When Rochester finally asks Jane to marry him, something suddenly comes up…

4. Sorry, not sorry, though I did cry when she died:

These chats only scratched the surface of what Jane Eyre is truly about. If you are a fan of the book, I hope these made you laugh. If you needed some quick information for your next class discussion, these might just get you through, and if you still don’t understand the book at all? Just re-read the chats (for real though… we have tutoring in CNU HALL)!

*Also shout out to my lovely bridal party that helped me make these and humors my nerdiness to another level, you guys are the greatest!*
