Glowy orange lights, spooky black cats, and pointy witches hats! Arguably the best month of the year, October, has returned, and thus, Spooky Season has commenced. The weather is chillier and pumpkin spice is filling the Autumn air, so the summer decorations must change to match the new cozy vibe of Fall. It does not require a huge budget or extreme creativity to create a fancy Halloween aesthetic in your room at school. With a few kindergarten-level crafts supplies and spare dollars at Target, you can channel your inner interior designer.

String Paper Bats and Pumpkins

Supplies Needed: string, paper, markers, tape, and scissors. Cut out your favorite spooky shapes to hang like banners on your wall or desk! Once colored and arranged, cut a small hole in the top to weave through the string to connect all the paper parts.

Gauze/Cotton Cobwebs

Supplies Needed: your choice of either gauze or cotton balls! Rip and stretch the fabric thin to resemble spiderwebs and place them over little tea lights, picture frames, or desk chairs.

Paint & Pebbles

Supplies Needed: paint, paintbrushes, stray rocks on the ground. Once you gather your stones, doodle an eyeball design and lay them around your room as pops of color pieces.

Throw Pillows or Blankets

Head to Target: for 10 dollars and under, you can purchase some mini throw pillows or comfy blankets from the front discount section. Anything with an autumnal or Halloween vibe would perfectly spice up your room décor.

Black and Orange Ribbons

Head to your nearest supply and fabric store, and for very cheap you can cop several rolls of different festive ribbons. It can be lacy, sparkly, or colorful… whatever screams fancy Halloween to you.

Actual Pumpkins

Head to the grocery store; chances are, they will be selling quaint little pumpkins up front. Choose your favorite round guy and either carve, paint, bedazzle, or leave plain sitting on your nightstand.

Halloween Stickers

Head to Amazon or a craft shop and buy your money’s worth of spooky cute stickers. Typically, you receive multiple sheets of stickers in one pack, so it is a suitable option for someone looking for a lot of bang for their buck. Litter your mirrors, window frame, journals, and mini-fridge with a cluster of scary stickers.
