It’s that time of year, folks. You all know what I’m talking about: cold and flu season. (Dun, dun, dun! Cue thunder and lightning sound effects). Everyone around you is getting sick and it seems that it’ll eventually pass around to you, but have no fear! Her Campus is here with some great tips on how you can manage to keep that common cold or flu at bay! Just follow these steps exactly and you’ll be healthy as a horse the whole semester!

1. Wash your hands often!

Though incredibly simple, this idea is foolproof! Make sure to wash your hands before meals, after meals, and any time you encounter anything especially germy to help keep those nasty bacteria and viruses away!

2. Invest in a human-sized hamster ball.

Not only will this device keep you safe and isolated from any contagious, gross, sick people, it will also provide you with HOURS of fun!! Talk about great value!

3. Never leave your room.

Outside????? Where the GERMS are???? Nice try, nature!

4. Bathe/shower solely in hand sanitizer for one week.

This is guaranteed to work! Because science!

5. Form a prayer circle.

While you’re at it, make peace with your enemies and get started on that bucket list.

6. Accept the inevitable heat death of the universe.

It’s gonna happen y’all.

7. Drink lots of fluids.

Finally, keeping yourself hydrated is a great and easy way to make sure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs. Stay healthy, Captains!
