Hello everyone I hope you are doing well. It’s Women’s History Month. Yay woooo. Women are bosses and I am forever thankful for all the women in my life. To commemorate this month I think it would be cool to talk about the history of women and women that were the 1sts in their field. So without further ado.

Women’s History Month is celebrated every March in Australia, U.K. and the U.S. It is celebrated every October in Canada.

Geraldyn Cobb was the 1st woman to pass astronaut testing in 1961

More women are earning college degrees than men

Edith Wharton (American Novelist) was the 1st woman to receive a Pulitzer prize for fiction

The first person to attempt to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel was a woman.

Hatshepsut was the only recorded female pharaoh

Wyoming was the 1st state to grant women the right to vote

Women were not allowed to compete track and field at the Olympics until 1928

There are currently 25 women that hold the position of President or Prime Minister of their country.
