My family and friends love to watch movies together. Some of the most frequent items on our watch list are Disney movies. I decided to make a top ten list of our favorite Disney movies to watch and share some thoughts I’ve had about them. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Hocus Pocus

This movie was always very fun to watch when I was younger … once I got over the fact the witches wanted to eat little children. I loved Binx so much and I feel like he is the reason my best friend got a black cat.

  1. Enchanted

I always liked how this movie played with the idea of fantasy meets reality, where we don’t fall in love at first sight and get married the next day. And that we feel more emotions than the happiness and fear that princesses only show. The songs were also a lot of fun as well.

  1. The Muppet Christmas Carol

This movie has been a Christmas family tradition for a while. We love the songs and the goofy take on a classic story. I just think it is a fun movie to watch, even when it’s not Christmas.

  1. Little Mermaid

This is a classic movie and I love watching it because every time I do, I learn what not to do when I like a guy. But it is a fun movie to watch and my cousin absolutely loves Ariel.

  1. Beauty and the Beast

This has always been my favorite Disney princess movie since I was little. Maybe because it was the first Disney movie I had seen that wasn’t all about the classic helpless female protagonist or maybe it was the fact that I love animals and the beast looked like a giant dog to me. I’m not completley sure. The only problem I have with it now is that I watched it around nap time so much as a kid that I can’t stay awake during the whole movie.

  1. Meet the Robinsons

I honestly just loved the message behind the movie. Keep moving forward is something that I try to live by, although it is hard to follow most of the time.

  1. Infinity War

No movie has made me rage scream at a TV like this movie. I am still shaken up by Infinity War and I am upset that almost all of my favorite characters were dusted. That just stings, but this was a good addition to the Marvel Universe and I can’t wait for the next one.

  1. Black Panther

This movie was just amazing – I loved the acting, the plot, and the music. My best friend may have almost broken her computer watching it so much.

  1. Nightmare Before Christmas

This has been my favorite movie for so long that I can’t even remember a time when I didn’t love this movie. I know most of the songs by heart and Jack Skellington was the first character I learned to draw, aside from my favorite animal. I never understood why I loved this movie so much and looking back, it should be horrifying to me but I still love it to this day.

  1. Coco

This movie was so well made. I loved how Miguel’s hands were animated to play the right notes and how so much thought was put into the movie. The music is amazing and I can’t stop listening to it. This was a work of art.

I hope you enjoyed my thoughts and feelings with this list and I hope you like at least some of the movies I have listed! Thanks for reading!

I love dogs, and watching anime. I am a fangirl at heart and poetry is one of my passions.
