Writing can be very therapeutic for many people, myself included. However, it can be hard to come up with ideas or find inspiration. This is why websites like Pinterest can be fun for finding prompts and ideas to destress with. Here are some of my favorite prompts to inspire other writers out there.

  1. One minute you’re in your house and the next, you’re standing in a living room surrounded by three demons. They drop their Ouija board and scream as they run into their bathroom and lock the door. “I told you we shouldn’t have touched it!”

  1. Zombie outbreak started 2 years ago. Now you find youself cornered by a decaying zombie when you do the unthinkable and bite it first. It falls to the ground and grows it’s skin back and sits up asking what happened.

  1. “I believe you.” “Thanks.” “But, I also believe the government is controlled by aliens, so I wouldn’t look too much into it.”

  1. “I’m fine.” “You don’t look fine.” “Then stop looking.” (this is a personal favorite of mine)

  1. “Well this is most definitely not where I wanted to teleport. Sorry for appearing in your bed at 2 in the morining.”

  1. “Your city is in ruins. You are-” the villain pauses raising and eyebrow. “You’re wrapped in my cape.” “It’s cold down here and you left it in reach. If you would actually heat your lair while keeping me prisoner down here I wouldn’t have to resort to thievery.”

  1. You work at a library and someone is constantly asking you to help them find books about the most random topics. You wonder if they are going on some kind of quest.

I hope you enjoy these prompts as much as I love finding them. Let your imagination run wild.

I love dogs, and watching anime. I am a fangirl at heart and poetry is one of my passions.
