Daymanuel “Manny” Sampson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CMU chapter.

Name: Daymanuel “Manny” Sampson

Major: Civil Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy

Graduating Year: 2013 (We almost out of here baby!)

Hometown: Landover, Maryland (Prince George’s County)

Relationship Status: Single

Hobbies/Interests: Basketball, Running, Blogging, Sneakers, Chilling, Having a good time.

Favorite College Memory: My favorite memory would have to be during the infamous “Snowmageddon” during Freshmen year. lol. Not only were we out of class for basically the entire week, but I don’t think I went a day sober (Can I legally say this? lmao). But yea, I spent each day hanging out, just kicking it with friends. We finished the week with an epic snowball fight too. It was pretty dope.

Favorite Food: My favorite food is lasagna, hands down. No question about it.

Random Fact: I visited Peru a couple seasons ago to help needy children in their construction of a new facility on their orphanage site. They were great kids and the city showed us all a lot of love when we visited as well.

Qualities you look for in a girl: I need a girl who’s funny. That’s a big thing for me. Some would call me a clown so I need that compliment. Other than that, I look for whit, intelligence, a good sense of where she’s going in life and just likes to have fun AT THE SAME DAMN TIME. Being able to cook is a plus, even though I can hold it down in the kitchen myself as well.

Post-Graduation Goal: I plan on entering the workforce, possibly in construction. I want to do cost estimation and things like that.
