Ultimate Ranking of Girl Scout Cookies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

Girl Scout cookie season has come and gone leaving us with boxes upon boxes of cookies. Before we empty every last box, I thought it would be a good idea to provide a comprehensive list and ranking of Girl Scout cookies to satisfy that sweet tooth!

11. Do-si-dos

I’m all for peanut butter, but there is something missing for me in this cookies. And I believe this is chocolate. For me, the chocolate-peanut butter combination cannot be topped. However, if you are a fan of the all-peanut butter flavor, this cookie is for you!

10. Toffee-tastic

The first of the two new gluten-free cookies. Toffee has never been my favorite thing to satisfy my sweet tooth, but I applaud Girl Scouts for continuing to adapt to the times with offering gluten-free cookies.

9. Savannah Smiles

Probably my favorite cookie name of the bunch, Savannah Smiles offers a fresh, sweet spin on the classic cookie.

8. Trefoils

This simple cookie is an amazing shortbread cookie. In my days of selling as a girl scout, one of my neighbors ordered a box specifically to dip into melted chocolate. Trefoils is a classic and one that deserves a try!

7. Trios

The second of the new gluten-free cookies, and I have to say these have a recipe for success. The peanut butter, chocolate, and oatmeal combination satisfies every sweet tooth there can be, all in one cookie!

6. Thanks-A-Lot

Simple and delicious, this cookie can make anyone smile. The name is also really fun to say!

5. Smore’s

My new favorite of the bunch! This cookie is delicious especially when you let them sit in the freezer for a few hours before enjoying. I love how it incorporates the classic campfire dessert into everyone’s favorite Girl Scout fundraiser.

4. Lemonades

This is my favorite of the two lemon cookies because these have a certain zest. Also, who doesn’t love lemonade?

3. Tagalongs

Here is the chocolate-peanut butter combination I was missing earlier, and consequently, it’s been one of my favorites since I was little. They’re great frozen too!

2. Samoas

There are always mixed reviews about this notable cookie. And it all depends on whether or not you like coconut. I LOVE coconut, so this cookie is on the top of my list!

1. Thin-mints

It’s a classic for a reason. Thin-mints are by far the best part about cookie season, and year after year, they are one of the top sellers. I love to freeze them. Not only do they last longer that way, but they are delicious! I have yet to meet someone who isn’t a fan of thin-mints. They are the epitome of cookie season!
