Mom’s Guide to Ain’t Patty’s Day

If you’re the mom of the friend group this weekend is already stressing you out. Worrying about who’s going to make it past 2 pm, who’s going to get arrested, how’s everyone getting home. Yeah, that’s me. In order to have a safe, fun and successful Ain’t Patty’s Day, here’s some tips!

Don’t go out on Friday night. That will only cause you to be more dehydrated on Saturday.

When you wake up on Saturday, DRINK A LOT OF WATER

Also when you wake up on Saturday, EAT A LOT OF CARBS! Because who doesn’t love brunch???

Being the mom I am, I always bring a bigger bag and have granola bars and water bottles.

Know your limit. We’re all in college; we should know how much we can drink.

Eat throughout the day. I know with all the drinking, hopping around and socializing, it can be easy to forget to eat. Take 5 minutes (realistically it will take 20) and get at least one slice of pizza from Todaro’s.

While eating that glorious pizza, switch up and drink water for an hour. Your body will love you Sunday for it

Get home safe. Don’t get in the car with someone you know has been drinking. Take the CAT bus, get an Uber, there’s so many ways to do this now, getting in the car with a drunk driver is sooooo not worth it.

Hey! My name's Liz and I'm a Sigma Kappa at Clemson University! I love my school more than anything in the world and love sharing that with y'all!!
