It’s finally here: Fall Break! To be honest, it surprised me, too. And in the rush of exams and homework and everything else, maybe you also realize that you haven’t made any plans yet and there’s less than a week left!

Not to worry, Her Campus is here with a handy little list of last-minute Fall Break plans, so you’re ready for the weekend!

1. Day Trips to Different Cities (click the links to see what’s happening!)

One of the nice things about Clemson is that we’re pretty close to big cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. Both are just a couple of hours away and have a ton of stuff to do including museums, festivals, and of course, food. If you don’t feel like driving too far, we also have Greenville just 45 minutes away, where there’s always something to do!

2. Hiking

Clemson and nearby areas have some gorgeous trails, especially in the fall with the leaves changing color! You’ll get your workout for the day and get some fresh air. Plus it’s a great way to spend some quiet time in nature or bond with a group of friends! If you don’t know where to start, check out TrailLink to get some ideas.

3. SkyTop Orchard

This beautiful place right outside Asheville gives you the chance to pick your own apples and buy fresh apple products. They even have a Pinterest page to give you some ideas on what to do with your apples! It’s perfect for a date or a group of friends. There’s a hayride, a duck pond, and farm animals!

4. Have a Self-Care Night

The importance of self-care can’t be understated, especially after such a long time at college without a real break. Use this time to recharge and replenish yourself so you can finish the semester strong! What’s the best part of this idea? It can be whatever you need! But if you’d still like some tips, check out this great article that gives you ideas for both your self-care night and your life as a whole.

5. Or a Night In with Friends

Semesters get busy, and it can be hard to spend time with your friends. Use this break to reconnect and have a chill night in before the hecticness of classes starts up again! Cook dinner, pop in a movie, play some games, or have a spa night! Do whatever it is that you guys need to stay close and finish out the semester strong together.

Whatever you decide to do, Her Campus Clemson hopes you have a great and well-deserved Fall Break!

I'm an Honors Biological Sciences major here at Clemson University. I love science, theater, poetry, and music and am incredibly passionate about world events, especially what's going on in the Middle East. I love meeting new people, trying new things (especially food), and sharing new experiences with the people I love!
