Kelsey Vinson: Becoming a Clemson Tiger

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

I first met Kelsey Vinson in ninth grade through the Junior Varsity Cheerleading squad at our high school. From the moment that I met her, I knew that she would be a lifelong friend. Now, as a freshmen at Clemson, she is my roommate.

Freshman Kelsey Vinson is a Pre-Med major. Vinson is adjusting well to her first year Clemson by getting involved in campus organizations. She is a member of FIMRC and ISL, which are service-based clubs for students on the path to careers in healthcare. She is also a member of Central Spirit, where she has had the opportunity to paint up for basketball games and to be on the field for the football game against Syracuse and to wave one of the flags!

Vinson is also active in sorority life, as she is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, where she has been slated into the position of Service and Philanthropy Director.

In describing her future plans, Vinson would like to help others wherever and however necessary.

“I would love to work with children in need in third-world countries, whether that is by teaching them or by offering healthcare,” she said.

Vinson is hopeful of her future at Clemson.

“I plan to graduate at least a semester early and to get started with my future career,” she said.
