How to conquer a Quarter-life Crisis
Everyone has heard of a mid-life crisis: the realization of being over-the-hill and
everything thrilling, new and surprising must be done in order to feel like that
young, hip twenty-year-old we all once were or still are, but I don’t believe people
have heard of the “quarter-life crisis” than many of us have.
This phenomenon occurs around the age of twenty-years old, when we are all
shedding the possibility of being a teen mom or releasing the teenage angst you’ve
had pent up since you turned thirteen. It starts out with the thrill of the epiphany
that you are now seen as an adult and ends with doing something slightly reckless to
prove to yourself that you’re still a kid. It can be as tame or wild as you choose.
Here are a few ideas for how to (ir)responsibly deal with your ever-looming
1. Find a new hobby!
2. Get a Puppy …or 5!
3. Finally learn how to play guitar
4. Quit life and go to Florida for a week with your friends
5. Treat Your Self!
