The End of the Semester as Told by “How I Met Your Mother”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

When your professor announces that the final isn’t cumulative

It’s rare for a happy GIF to describe our last couple weeks, but that just makes it so much more thrilling when it actually happens. Any bit of information taken away from the mountain of things to memorize at the end of the semester is greatly appreciated.

When you find out that you need a 150% on the final exam to end up with a B in the class:

It happens to the best of us. There’s always that one class.

When you studied for an exam for what seemed like 100 hours and you have no idea how to answer the first question

Whether it’s nerves or just a trick question, it never feels good.

When you’ve been in the library for three days straight and someone asks you any type of question:

I’m sorry; the answer to that question was pushed out of my brain by the 200 flashcards on the Korean War I just memorized.

When you ace that exam you’ve been so stressed out about

There’s nothing better than the feeling of your hard work paying off.

When your professor adds another assignment to your never-ending to-do list:

It’s almost as if they think you only take their class, isn’t it?

When you’re still sitting in class but your friends from other colleges are already on winter break:

No worries, your time will come.

When your professor starts to review for the final but you don’t remember a single thing:

Looks like I’ve got a date with my Calculus textbook tonight.
