The Bachelor: Who’s Still Together?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

Happy Bachelor season! With the new year comes one new bachelor and 30 new ladies who are going to try to win his heart. But how many Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have actually stayed together after the season finale?

Out of the past 20 Bachelor seasons only TWO of the couples are still together and out of the past 12 Bachelorette seasons FIVE are still together (a much higher success rate), which just proves that girls have better instincts.

Season 1: The Bachelorette (2003)

Trista Rhen and Ryan Sutter

The first season of The Bachelorette was much more successful than The Bachelor and the couple is still happily married with two kids.

Season 7: The Bachelorette (2011)

Ashley Herbert and J.P. Rosenbaum

The two were married a year after the show and now have a son.

Season 17: The Bachelor (2013)

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici

They were the first Bachelor couple EVER to get married and it only took seventeen seasons!

Season 9: The Bachelorette (2013)

Desiree Hartstock and Chris Siegfriend

The couple got married two years ago and recently had a son in October.

Season 11: The Bachelorette (2015)

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth

After rejecting Nick Viall (the current bachelor) in the season finale, Kaitlyn and Shawn are still together and engaged.

Season 20: The Bachelor (2016)

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell

While it hasn’t been that long since the couple exited the show, they are still together and have wrapped up the first season of their reality show on Freeform Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.

Season 12: The Bachelorette (2016)

JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers

The couple is now living together in Dallas and planning their wedding for 2017.

We wish Nick Viall the best of luck as he searches for his fiance on season 21 of The Bachelor Monday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC!
