5 Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

February 14th is fast approaching and if you haven’t settled down yet in a serious relationship, it can turn into another depressing day dedicated to couples. So, round up your other single friends, and try one of the things on this list.

1. Go see “Fifty Shades Darker”. Even if you aren’t into the crazy romance of Christian Grey, it could be fun to go to the movie with friends and laugh at the unrealistic, romantic plot lines of Hollywood.

2. Make a reservation at a fancy restaurant with friends. Dress up in your nicest dress and heels and treat yourself to something that you can’t make in your tiny kitchen.

3. Make some heart shaped food on a baking night.

4. Buy lots of Valentine’s Day candy, pig out, and watch a romantic comedy.

5. Watch the sunset and reflect on the fact that being single isn’t so bad when you’ve got friends like yours.
