5 Instagram Dogs You Need In Your Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

As anyone who knows me can you tell you, I’m obsessed with dogs.  My social media feeds are constantly filled with pictures of dogs, I belong to a corgi fan group on Facebook (Disapproving Corgis check it out), and I will forever talk in a baby voice when I see a cute pupper out in public.  However, as someone who lives on campus and also does not want the responsibility of caring for another living thing my life is currently very dogless. Therefore, I must turn to the Internet to get my fill of fluffy, four-legged good bois, which brings me to my article topic: 5 Instagram Dogs You Need to Follow Right Now.

1. Bertram the Pomeranian (@bertieberthepom)

Bertie took over/broke the Internet recently with his picture as Paddington the Bear and I have to say, I understand why.  Look at that tiny fluffy face, Bertie has officially earned himself a new die-hard fan. You basically have a mini teddy bear running around with you!

2. Ryder Rose the Bernedoodle (@ryderthebernedoodle)

With this one I must start from the beginning, going all the way back to the elementary school years when the first Wii came out.  In those days, my sister and I were avid players of the popular game, Petz Sports. My signature character was the Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.  However, I am among the unfortunate many who are allergic to dogs. >gasp< I know it’s been a hard life. Anyway, so me having a Bernese Mountain dog was nothing but a distant dream until I found Ryder.  Ryder is a Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle mix making her hypoallergenic and therefore Hannah safe (yay!). But alas, reality sets in because as you may have realized they’re hella expensive. Like over $2,000 expensive, so as of now I must enjoy from afar until comes the day when I’m a millionaire and can fulfill my dream of living on a Bernedoodle farm.

3. Edie the Wheatie (@edie_the_wheatie)

Honestly, if you’ve made it this far I’m proud of you because I’m now fully aware of my crazy dog-person status.  Anyway, I must confess Edie is a recent addition to my Instagram feed. Therefore, we haven’t become fully acquainted (thank you The Dogist for featuring him), but he definitely deserves a place on this list.  With that fluffy snout and those teddy bear eyes, how can anyone resist? I also have a soft spot for hedgehogs, so please enjoy this photo featuring two of my favorite things.

4. Ralph the Corgi (@ralphthecorgie)

Would you like your feed to be covered in fluffy loaves of bread with cute stubby legs?  Then, you have come to the right place. I’ve personally come to terms with my corgi obsession, since I follow about 6 other corgi accounts, but this one definitely takes the cake.  Between pictures of Ralph and his corgi brother, George, joined by their little toddler humans how could you resist all of that adorableness!

5. The Dogist (@thedogist)

Now this page gives you a little bit of everything.  Not ready to commit to just one dog or one breed, The Dogist is for you!  It’s basically the dog version of Humans of New York (HONY), except where every subject is a furry baby and where each description sounds like something you’d put on a dating profile.
