Fractured

In my 18 years of watching films, I don’t think I have ever been so shook by a movie. This heart-wrenching, chilling movie tells the story of a family’s sudden tragedy while traveling during the holidays. The main character, Ray Monroe, checks his family into the hospital after his daughter slips into an open construction site, injuring herself. However, after his daughter and wife are taken downstairs to conduct further testing, they vanish from the hospital. Watch this daring story to see how Ray Monroe fights at all costs to get his family back in his arms. You may need a tissue or two. My favorite part about this film is that it highlights the importance of the medical field and shows how traumatic injuries can alter your thoughts, vision, and persona.

Rattlesnake

The ultimate momma bear comes alive in this film. It follows single mother, Katrina Ridgeway, as she is on her way to her mother’s house for the holidays with her daughter. In the middle of Texas, Katrina’s tire goes flat, forcing her to pull over and attempt to fix it. As she fixes the tire, her daughter is bitten by a rattlesnake. With no way of moving and no time to spare, she takes her daughter to the only home in sight. Luckily, the woman was of help but then vanishes. Later, she is told by a mysterious figure that she must kill a person in town to “repay” for her gift. If not, her daughter’s condition will deteriorate rapidly. Don’t miss out on this action-packed, determined mother’s journey to keep her child and herself alive. My favorite part of this film was never ending power of a woman to fight for her family’s safety.

6 Underground

If you’re having a bad day, this movie is sure to cheer you up! This thrilling movie features the famous Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds plays “One,” a CEO and billionaire who keeps his identity anonymous to avoid being caught for his vicious and violent crimes. One recruits five other individuals based on their specific special talents and skills, having stalked and watched them throughout their lives. These people are asked to fake their deaths and dedicate the rest of their lives to assist One in taking down and/or replacing foreign government officials. My favorite part of this film was the constant eye grabbing action and mystery behind the recruitment of the six individuals.

In her free time, you'll find her chasing cute dogs, talking about studying abroad in the Balkans, watching copious amounts of Netflix, and putting people at ease when they question her name's pronunciation (May-m, not May-me).
